Curriculum Vitae
I obtained my Master’s degree in Biology from the University of Naples Federico II (2021-2022), where I carried out my thesis internship in the Hygiene laboratory. During this experience, I acquired practical and theoretical expertise in the microbiological analysis of environmental matrices, including water and soil. The aim of my thesis project was to investigate the use of bioreactors (implemented using a specific microbial consortium) for the remediation of soil contaminated by heavy metals.
Subsequently, I carried out a post-graduate internship (Erasmus traineeship) at the Department of Pharmacy of the Lusófona University in Lisbon (2023-2024). The focus of my work was on exploring the application of innovative ingredients in topical and transdermal formulations, with a special emphasis on the characterization of solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) embedded with choline-based ionic liquids (ILs).
I am currently a PhD student in “Artificial Intelligence – Agrifood and Environmental area” at the University of Naples Federico II. I am carryng out my research activities at the Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection of the National Research Council (CNR-IPSP) of Portici, where I am studying the effect of bioactive peptides on the productivity of model plants (Solanum lycopersicum) and on their responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. The experimental activities will also be supported by the use of innovative technologies based on Artificial Intelligence systems.
